This gigantic smoking "mountain of the mountains" invites you to go on a hiking tour on its wonderful hiking paths.

Hiking route Buró

The hiking path is named after a cave made of igneous rocks. The cave, which is near Randazzo on the North side of the Etna, is the home of innumerous bats!

Trekking route Monte Nero Degli Zappini

This hiking path is on the South side of the Etna, only a few kilometres from the summit craters!

Hiking route Monte Calanna

A very nice hiking path on the East side of the volcano.

The starting point of this hiking tour is close to the end point of the famous lava flow of 1991/93.

Hiking route Monte Zoccolaro

A precipitous hiking path on the South East hillside for those who are already experienced.

Here you can easily reconstruct the geological evolution of the volcano.
