MTB Route: Taormina - Etna (Rifugio Sapienza)

The MTB route Taormina - Etna leads you predominantly over country roads with usually a little traffic only. 

In addition to going to Rifugio Sapienza the more adventuresome cyclists among you can climb up the main crater to up to 3.000 m (off-road of course).

But if you prefer a more comfortable way of capturing the Etna volcano you can make use of the cable car and the 4-wheel buses by paying 48 €. You can also book a similar Etna excursion by coach.
